Turbo Tax is very easy to understand and to file your income taxes. I did speak with a Turbo Tax Advisor named Andrea who could not have been nicer. She researched and stayed on the phone with me until I understood her findings.

THE STIMULUS RECOVERY REPORTING WAS VERY CONFUSING! I SPENT 3 HOURS TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. FINALLY REALIZED I WAS NOT ENTITLED TO ANY ADDITIONAL REFUND SINCE WE RECEIVED BOTH CHECKS.

Efile for states sucks!

I've been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years, and this year went along about like every other year. But when it came for e-filing I couldn't get into my account that I had already used for 10+ years. I tried to sign in using the password that I KNOW I used last year (yes I had it save on a piece of paper on a secure location). and then hen I tried to change it... The system responded with "Oops! We hit a snag" MULTIPLE TIMES! I finally wound up creating a new account and e-filed my returns (I hope!) but this is not the first time (or even the sixth time) I've had trouble signing in to e-file. Seems like the same old story every year. Obviously I like Turbo Tax to keep coming back, but this very well may be the last. They have a lot of competitors and maybe its time to try another.

Royalties are still confusing

I get a 1099-MISC from a company that pays me royalties for a piece of intellectual property they use. It's STILL confusing where you enter this and how to deal with it.
