The number $20.00 shows up periodically, the general inference that the Fed E-file is free but the State E-file will be $20.00. But then the bank begins to start siphoning off more in a rather sneaky way. Just be upfront with the costs. As things ramp up to sending in the E-files. By switching screens to have a customer needs to re-focus in the new screen read and interpret the information that says, "Oh by the way there might be local or state taxes added," but they only hint at the percentage.

Turbo Tax 2020

In general Turbo Tax is a good way for the everyday Joe to do their taxes. However, your page showing deductions and credits is very misleading when it comes to total itemized deductions. The totals shown in the Medical and the Estimates and Other Taxes sections, is what was actually entered, not what you actually got as an itemized deduction.

Turbo is the best tax software on the market!!

I've been using Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember, both for myself and members of my family, and I have "never" had an issue with it. I would recommend it for everyone, no matter what degree of knowledge they have with taxes. All they have to do is follow the steps and answer the questions and they will finish their taxes AND learn a lot a the time. I recommend Turbo Tax without any exceptions!

Not as good as earlier versions

I've used Turbo Tax for more than 10 years. This version seemed less intuitive and less helpful than previous years. Perhaps my situation this year simply exposed areas of the software that I have not seen before,
Specifically, we moved between states across the country. We both kept our jobs initially and worked remote. Neither of our employers have a business presence in the new state, but did setup state tax ids and created a W2 for each state. The question asked about the situation regarding leaving our former state were complicated by one of us changing to a new job in the new state over the new year. The residency questions felt a bit ambiguous. Because we were filing jointly and had different employment situation, it was difficult to know how to answer them. Additional clarification prose regarding the intent of each question may have helped. In the current form it felt like a bright-light interrogation.
Anecdotally, it seems like the last few years the program has gone down hill a bit each year. This unfortunately a pretty common trend with any top-tier in a class product.
Although I am disappointed, I will still be a customer next year. I have tried a couple other options over the years and TT is still the best choice I've found.

Had issues with a few coding items . TT finally cleared them upon but it took way too much effort to get a hold them and explain their errors.
