Turbo tax -software errors !!

filing NYS pension, which is non-taxable to NY became more complicated, now asking for extra step which it never did before. Also after filing, NYS return was rejected due to admitted software errors cauing me to file again, now hoping this time it will be accepted. Time to change software to file next year !! They should issue refund on purchase.

Turbotax is Good but for New York (?)

It was relatively easy for the Federal return. I finished the Federal and New York returns and had Turbotax check them for errors. There were none. I used Turbotax to transmit the returns. The Federal was accepted and a few days later found the New York rejected. Why? It seems Turbotax software was in error. They did an update and I submitted New York again today. I wait and see if it is accepted.

Individuals taxes that I filed were, returned due to a software issue with TurboTax, causing a delay in tax returns which was filed during the first week of February.

TurboTax is great but

I've been using Turbotax for over 15 years and I'd like to say it gets esier, and in some ways yes. Other ways no. I would love to see a better explanation of how to obtain a foreign tax credit. It is so convoluted, especially for ex-pat Canadians who get taxes withheld by Canada then more taxes assessed in the US. Double taxation.

It's so easy!

Turbo Tax is so easy to use. It walks you through everything. You need the same documentation that you would be providing to an accountant - so there is no way you can't just enter the information yourself. The software updates and keeps you informed along the way regarding your returns or amount owed. It is great!
