Ca Return returned multiple Times

State Tax Rejection Issues

My CA tax return was rejected. I have two issues. First, neither TurboTax nor the State informed me of the rejection. Nor did either tell me why. I opened TurboTax four days after filing and saw the word "Rejected." (My Federal return had been accepted in under an hour and I had received a text to inform me.) When I reviewed my CA return, I discovered that I had entered the wrong issue date for my CA Driver License when prompted. I entered my birthday in 2020 but I later noticed that the issue date is in the lower right corner of my driver license under the heading "ISS". It would have been helpful if TurboTax had helped me with this issue. Nevertheless, I corrected the issue date and refiled and hope that was the problem. Second, when TurboTax informed me of the rejection, the sequence that followed suggested that both Federal and State tax returns would be refiled. I was concerned that refiling my Federal return, which had already been accepted, might cause a problem. Nevertheless, I continued by clicking "Continue." Finally, TurboTax informed me that I would be refiling only my State return and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Turbo is easy and helpful

Love this software. I have used it for 6 years now and will continue to use it. I feel like it is super easy, walks me through all that can save me money and give me the best refund. The only thing that was unfortunate is the software compatibility for Macs this year as it would not download on my 2015 Mac even though last year and others worked. I had to buy a new computer just to use this software. I wish there was more of a warning about this, so I would be aware before just automatically buying it.
