Good Program Difficulty in Making CC Payment

Program has worked good for me for many years. But as usual the program freezes up after making a credit card payment and you need to close down and restart....frustrating and it happens every year. Some developer needs to get their act together.

Download vs Online

I initially started my taxes using the online turbotax method. I feel that it was a little more complicated and it was not helpful at explaining everything. There was also a lingering "error" that I had no idea how to correct and because of that I was not able to file. After trying to correct it and reading the common questions and even asking questions on the chat I just gave up. My mother bought the program and so I started my taxes from the beginning. It was SO MUCH EASIER! The flow was easier and it took me through everything so I was not as confused.
I didn't think that it would be that much of a difference from buying the program as opposed to just doing it online and paying afterwards but to me there was. It was much more complicated AND it was WAY more expensive. I would have paid $80 to e-file both federal and state taxes using the online only program and with the downloaded program I only paid $20. This doesn't include the $40 fee to have it deducted from your refund (I didn't pay that though).
My complaint is that I think the programs should be more congruent. It shouldn't matter how I buy the program, it's the same program why aren't they taking you through it the same way? And my second complaint is the price difference. Either way you have to pay for use of the program, which is fine, but why is the difference so staggering!? Its $60 more for to e-file for both! Ridiculous! I have used Turbo Tax to file my taxes for at least the last 4-5 years and never had any issues until now so I will most likely use it again next year but I wanted to voice my issues.
All this to say just buy the program, don't do it online its trickier to work with and its way more expensive. Hope it helps someone. More importantly I hope TurboTax can make helpful and meaningful changes.
