Turbotax is really slow and updates to often

Turbotax is really slow and updates to often. I pulled up my 2019 income tax to get my AGI and it took forever due to checking for updates. 2019 Turbotax does not need to get updates. Also, having to type and re-type your name and date at the end is un-nessary.

Better than the 2019 version

When one hits the "back" key, it takes you farther back than the previous screen.

I like the fact that the program walks you through every step of the way or you can manage it yourself. It's easy to follow and there is customer support if you have any questions. I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and highly recommend it.

I've used TurboTax for 15-20 years, and never saw the need to switch. I've had easy years, I've had complex years, I've had K-1's, all kinds of 1099's, pretty much the gamut of what most ordinary taxpayers like myself would encounter in preparing their return. Full disclosure - I'm a CPA, so I'm a little more comfortable with this stuff than a lot of people, but if you do the step by step method, I don't think there's a way you can make a mistake, regardless of your experience level. There are more expensive and less expensive programs out there, but I had a family member try another product on their own this year, and they called me to find out "why this program is asking me this question". What they were asking didn't make any sense, and I told them that TurboTax had never asked me a question for that particular item with a drop-down menu from which to make a selection (which did not even apply to them). About four hours later, they called back to say that they had downloaded TurboTax, had finished their return, and were getting back a better refund than they had come up with on that "other" software. I don't think TurboTax can get you a "better" refund than another program if you do everything correctly in both programs, but I will say that TurboTax is easier to use than what I've heard from other people, and from what I've read in software reviews in financial publications and consumer magazines. I'm not affiliated with Intuit or TurboTax in any way.....I just like the heck out of their product!
