Had trouble with updates

Before e-filing, it said there was an important update. It wouldn't install the update properly (failed), then kept us from accessing the rest of the program when trying to restart it. I had to uninstall/reinstall the entire program to be able to use it again.

Generally simple and straight forward

Generally simple to fill out even with some complications this year. The directions on the stimulus checks and how they are incorporated in the return were not clear, but the amounts are not taxable so I didn't worry.

The best part of the whole program is where they take you through each piece of the return, step-by-step. Everything is well explained in layman's terms and not unintelligible legal speak.

Not as good as last year?

I completed and filed return, but had to re-key some parts of the program because the program would not stay on the screen. It would go to the bottom. I worked through it and I think everything is OK. Never had that problem before. I was annoying. I used the disc format.
