EASY TO UNDERSTAND

Turbo Tax Deluxe-CD is Still KLUNKY

Turbo Tax Deluxe-CD still has the same features that make it inconvenient to move from screen to screen. The "CONTINUE" button moves from screen to screen. PUT IT in ONE PLACE on EVERY SCREEN to make this program easier to use.
The info is very tedious in places to complete and sometimes asks questions that are redundant. There was ONE PLACE where the program finally asked "Do not ask again".
This could speed up the process a LOT!!
Overall, I would have to say the computations are accurate and it DID catch a problem that I have to deal with before I can file. NOT MY FAULT on the problem. INCORRECT info sent from a 1099-R company.

This software gives very easy step by step instructions to follow and also helpful hints along the way if you have questions about any step in the process. I have used this for years and think it is a fabulous tool!

Turbo Tax Review and problem

I continuously have trouble filing my NJ State Tax return. I am retired and used the 3-year recovery method for my Federal tax return. However, NJ does not recognized the income exclusion for contributions to 403(b) plans and I paid taxes on the full amount of my W-2 income. Turbo tax does not recognize the difference between my Federal taxable amount and my lesser State taxable amount of pension income even though I enter the difference in my input.

Turbo Tax is extremely frustrating

I was locked out of my account. It took me over two hours to get back in. Kept getting a message "hmm there was a problem, try again later". I had to repeat the process many many times.
