TurboTax does the job !

I first used TurboTax for tax year 2008. I have used it every year since. I highly recommend this product. It does the job for both personal income taxes and a small business. My sole recommendation is that each TurboTax IRS Form in the program have two check boxes in the upper right corner. The first is for early entry amounts (estimated) from the taxpayer personal records (bank account interest, spreadsheet). The second would be for the "correct amounts." Those are entries from employer W-2, Form 1099-R, SSA, etc. mailed to the taxpayer. Frequently there are differences (usually small), but it would help when filing to be sure that one last comparison between your records and the records of the bank, employer, or other document reported to the IRS, is possible.

great but slight frustration

I love how easy the questions are and how helpful everything is, but what I find frustrating is paying the $60 to get the deluxe program to file both my federal and state returns then told I have to pay another $20 to e-file my state return. Be up front so I don't have to spend $80 to file my taxes. This is something that hasn't changed and continually bothers me.
