4th Decade of Awesome TurboTax Use!

I have been using TurboTax since it was a new product in the 1980s. Every year I am impressed with how simple TurboTax makes the tax preparation process. The transfer of previous years’ tax information greatly simplifies getting started and often carries over hidden information that could/would easily be missed if entering the information manually. The packaging of the state program with the federal program greatly simplifies the complete process; this is especially so for those of us in Montana where the official state form is impossible to navigate. The only downsides of the entire process are (1) the miserable checkout process for paying for the state e-filing which had me just a few seconds away from canceling the entire state e-filing and (2) the constant attempts to drive us to the website and to the “chat” links. Please realize that some of us are “old school” enough that we do not hesitate to pay for software that we want, want to load it on our own desktops so that we can control our access and use of the program, and are not constantly dependent on a “social media” link to allow us to do our work. Thanks for your constant improvement of the software, but just let me use it on my own.

Best Turbo Tax Ever

I use Turbo Tax every year but this year it seemed to be a little more streamlined and clear. I completed our federal and state taxes in less than an hour.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
