I've used TurboTax for about 15 years and while my tax situations may change, TurboTax makes filing easy. Highly recommended for any age or income level. I bought the CD.

Needs more information when taxpayer has to file Schedule D. Although it is there you don't know until you have printed a copy.

Product is OK-to-solid but has gone downhill

Some of the step-by-step questions are confusing / misleading. There should be better explanations of how one's answers will impact the forms. I find myself digging into the forms to see how the math is working and impacting my return. I found the 529 and college expenses particularly confusing. I revisited this topic several times - the first time it made a big deal about the receipient's name on the 1098-T form and when I went back a second time that was basically ignored. Inconsistent behavior causes stirrings of doubt and has me taking more time to look at forms. Another annoying issue is when revisiting topics, you have to go through the entire loop of questions instead of just making the one change - although I don't know how TT would prevent that - maybe a button that says "Revisit the rest of this topic?". The product still works, but is not as crisp as in previous years.
