We don't have the most complicated tax situation, but we really, really like that your product makes it easy to do our taxes and e-send them to the feds and state.

Issue noted for estimated tax payments
on February 3, 2021

This year when I moved on to Virginia State tax, it was finished before I ever saw anything happen. That was too weird, as it didn't offer to walk through it at all. I manually went back through the program, then discovered a problem. I had applied $200 from my 2019 refund to the 2020 taxes, which was reflected on the form, BUT I continued to make estimated tax payments for the next 3 quarters. The program did not know that. I was able to manually correct it. Turbo tax should not have automatically inserted the 200 applied (info from the federal return) , then not taken into account the possibility of any further estimated payments. I'm not sure if this was just a glitch on my program (where going from federal to state was immediately done without a walkthru), or if this was by design. But the estimated tax payments would have been picked up on during a normal walkthru. The addition of that information made my refund go from the 3 hundred range to the 9 hundred range. This is very significant, and I may have lost that money if I didn't poke around and just notice it. THIS NEEDS FIXED IN YOUR PROGRAM.
