Turbo Tax failed me this year!

I've used Turbo Tax for many, many years without a problem. But this year 2020 was so disappointing. I have had family illness problems therefore I have to admit I left my taxes until the last minute to do. Trying to complete and eFile both the Federal and State last night (5/17/21) I hit a snag and could not about 11:30pm. At the point where I was offered a purchase of "Audit Defense" I got into trouble. First I said "yes" to the offer but decided against it and cancelled. I got into this "loop" where I could go nowhere except back and forth around this offer. Around 1:00 I decided to just leave it and go to bed--it was too late to meet the deadline anyway. This morning I signed back in and it seemed to have cleared the loop enough for me to eFile my taxes even though they are late. It looks like I have purchased the Audit Defense after all at a $45 charge. Oh well, at least my taxes are filed and I am done with Turbo Tax forever.

Don't E-File

Some of the instructions suck they refer to a scheduled or line item but do not say federal or state or where to find the info. But the worst thing is I tried E-File for the first time and followed directions to the T. My E-File was rejected twice by the Feds. after supplying all correct info from my 2019 turbo tax forms. Now my return is late by 2 days, If I am penalized it will start a war.

Transition from federal to state tax is cumbersome

Due to the increase in the federal standard deduction less couples will be itemizing on their federal return. The transition from the federal standard deduction return to a state itemized return is cumbersome and overrides that should be available are not.

your e-file sucks

I attempted to e-file for the first time but was declined by the feds. After mailing in my returns i have attempted to get a refund of the state e-file charge but your system seems to be giving me the run around.

This version of the product had some minor issues.

This year's product had issues that I did not see in past years of using TurboTax. When I first installed the product it kept getting hung up with the initial setup where I had to keep closing and relaunching the program to get it to display the screen that ask for the License#, but then it would not allow me to enter the number. I had to call Support for help on the issue and the work around was to change my resolution to 800x600 and then I was able to get enter the License#. Then at the end of the program with I was filing my return and I wanted to charge my State Filing fee to my Credit Card it would go to my TurboTax Account Page but it did not process the payment or do anything remotely. I brought me into the Support screen that ask How I did my Taxes Last Year which doesn't do me any good as I just finished doing my taxes for this year. I hope the product is Much Better next year otherwise it may be my last year using it.
