Works for my simple standard deduction situation

Even though the program would assist if my tax situation was more complex, I appreciate it helping me through with a 1040-SR. I do not have to wade through instructions and making errors. I recommend Tubo Tax for anyone but also for us simpler-tax situation people.

No longer a good option

Inconsistencies under every section. Stuck in constant loop when trying to file state taxes.
Stuck again in another loop when trying to efile. Not sure what happened to Turbo Tax, but I certainly will not be back.

Still Good But Its Been Better

I've been using TurboTax for as long as its been around and its always been great. I switched to a Mac this year, and I'm still getting used to the differences between it and PCs. However, I've never had something that was a real bug in the program until this year. I refinanced my mortgage last year, so I had two form 1098s with mortgage interest. Though the mortgage is less than the maximum dollar amount before the interest amounts that can be deducted are reduced, the software was adding the loan amount for both 1098s and limiting interest that could be deducted. The help link gave me a work-around bu combining the numbers into one 1098, but I shouldn't have to do that, and it makes me a little nervous to do that on taxes. I wouldn't have even known that something wasn't right, except that the interest deduction that was initially calculated was significantly lower that 2019. I don't know if this error is related to just the Mac version, but it shouldn't be there. Were there other bugs that I didn't catch? I doubt it, but for the first time in my many years of TurboTax use, I wonder. Of course, we could ask our political leaders to make the tax code a whole lot simpler, right?!?!?

The all around best on the market today.

It was great, very fast and easy. Walked me through all the steps like woah and I was able to get cash. I liked the option to buy treasury bonds too, but I didn't do it. Using this product every year is highly recommended as it can import your previous stuff. I knocked it all out in a few hours including my 1099's. Very chill product. The taxman would be proud.
