Needs better attention to detail.

Obvious ambiguities exist, such as whether the stimulus payments for us (as a married couple) were each $1200 (1st) + $600 (2nd) or whether that was the total for both.
I had to go to the web to get that info. Also TurboTax didn't say what we should have received v. what we got ... but CNET had an online calculator that seemed different. Turbo Tax seemed likely to have us requested a refund as if we should have gotten the max, rather than significantly less.
Also annoying not to have all of our business info from Federal transferred to State (Virginia) section.

Been using for many years and getting harder

I file as an ordained clergy person. I know clergy taxes are complicated but as I earn money in retirement, the taxes become harder and harder. I knw how things are supposed to work but I have trouble finding the right place to input my numbers.

incidental charges

a lot of technical problems getting started and downloading and a lot of small incidental chrges like the charge fir filing the "free" state return.

FILE New York State Taxes

the deadline is may 17 (today). I've tried filing my new york state taxes since April 11. Each time i get the following error message: taxes cannot be filed at this time because the following confirmation cannot be located at . try again later.
there is no indication of what the confirmation is or where it is located. i ended up sending a screen shot and the signed copy of the confirmation to the irs even though the instructions say explicitly not to do so. i did this after calling intuit 4 times with the result the same. i sent the information to the irs after consulting with intuit's cpa.
