turbo tax problem

In 2019, my wife had a job so we bought the premier version. This year my wife did not have a job and I bought the regular version. l guess because it was a different , it did not import any information from the other earlier turbo tax versions. I retyped all the info manually. I got an error after submission. I resubmitted four times. I proof read each copy . The last notice indicated that there was no tax information on me, although my ssn was correctly entered into the 1040 form.

When I get to the "pay for state efiling", Turbotax freezes up and will not allow payment.

You're slipping

I began using Turbo Tax because it was more straight forward and easier to use than your competitors but have notice in recent years that it has become more and more difficult to use. This years version was the worse for navigation in the system. I hope next years will be better or I may have to reconsider.

Too many grey areas

Little to no advice on how to proceed if you are disabled. I have had major neck and back surgery from working myself into the ground my whole life (never been without a job). This area should be addressed more thoroughly from the beginning. One simple question, "are you disabled" in the very beginning would be a great assistance in filling throughout the process.

Turbo Tax Saves

I am doing my taxes on the last day at the last minute and Turbo tax makes it quick and easy. They explain all the deductions and with electronic copies of my documents, I can just import and verify the numbers and not have to plug in the information myself. It really is good.

Last 2 years versions have caused troubles

Apparently Microsoft Security Updates and TurboTax Deluxe are not compatible. I get all MS Updates. Last 2 years I have had to get Intuit Live Support in order to get my CD Version to load properly. I have a very simple tax filing. The main reason I use TurboTax is to have access to all the IRS and FTB forms. With all the hassle and hang ups I have endured, I am seriously considering NOT using TurboTax next year.
