Had a number of time consuming issues with TurboTax. First the software license provided with Yearly Advantage did not work. Took hours to get it corrected. Then when filing another technical issues requiring reload of software. Not a good experience

TurboTax is the best

The software is not better integrated between the walk through and the forms. What this means is that during the error check, the software is more clear about what needs to be entered into the IRS forms than before when you had to guess what the problem was. This is huge. My remaining gripe is that the software is not consistent in finding the previous year's information. Most years it is OK but this year I had to manually enter information that previously would have come into the current year's work.

Turbo Tax has worked for me since 2005!

It has just always worked well for me, except for the first year when I tried to e-file--the IRS never received it! That was in 2008 or 2009. I have mailed it since then, but this year I am e-filing once more.

Turbo Tax Deluxe has deteriorated over the years

The completed TTax Maryland Form 502 did not include either in the printed form itself or in the worksheets supporting the Form 502, the required Form 502SU attachment!!! I was forced to construct the form myself without prompting from TTAX!! Qualified dividend and capital gains calculations were opaque and difficult to find among the worksheets. The Q&A format used to answer questions under help was poorly conceived, incomplete, and haphazard. I resent TTAX's blatant push to force users to incur state electronic filing fees. I chose to print out my state form and let the state incur the extra processing costs. I would rather have a "free" and independent software solution offered by the IRS and state taxing authorities. I utterly resent that the TTAX lobbyists have placed the IRS in the position where it is prohibited from making available an independent software solution. TTAX Deluxe 2020 overall is sloppy and a very poor product.
