Users for the past 23 years, gather info, double check and enter in excel first. When going thru TurboTax I just look at my spreadsheet mostly. Nice and easy 1040 and 540 (ca) ... Thanks as usual ...

TurboTax saves me a lot of time; small bugs though

I use TurboTax to save time as it remembers what I did from the previous year. However it does not remember enough and sometimes drops supporting details that I have typed in to remind myself of last years items. I use forms method as the questions take me much more time. Supporting details from the previous year flag each item in the forms that will need data inputted so I just need to look over the forms and find those spots with supporting details ( a 0 in an entry line.) A new bug in Supporting Details appeared this year and was very annoying -- while typing in the number column only the first digit would be accepted (I would try to type 12.34 but I would teg 1.0, i.e. only the first digit). The worst was that I could not find a place to report the bugs that I found.

now I have to pay to efile my state. so likely will just go back to doing it myself next year without paying for your program

SHOULD MOVE IRS IPIN screen to final screen

Love turbotax, but each year I make the same mistake; I forget to input the IRS IPIN because I anticipate that the prompt will be given at the end when I'm ready to submit. I have to wait for the error message to back and input the information. this should be moved to the end where I am inputting my personal information.
