Great Tax Program

I have been using Turbotax for many years and it is the only one that I trust and use when it comes to my taxes. It is definitely easy to use and the turtorials help explain many details of the tax law and how it may be applicable to your situation.

Almost Everything Works Well

Have been using Turbotax since 1988. Generally the software worked great. I had three glitches, two where the boxes on the 1099 forms did not match the Turbotax worksheet. I did not note the names of the forms, sorry. the third problem was my insurance was in a 1095-B, and Turbotax appeared to only accept a 1095-A. One other glitch was that somewhere between the federal and state forms, Turbotax decided I had sold my house, and the state form demanded to know the address of the sold house. There was no sold house, but I was unable to proceed until I filled in the address box, stating that "no house was sold." As I played brinksmanship and completed my taxes the day before the deadline, I really appreciated that it almost worked.

First year with a problem

I have been using TurboTax for many years. This the first year I ever had an issue. During the final check of my state return, it kept returning me to start my state return again. This was a process that I was not able to finalize. I hope the state review was okay. After 1 correction on my federal, that return was fine.

I'm waiting for something better

I find the interface to be repetitive and clunky. I don't understand why I have to enter payment methods over and over or why I have to keep asking it to remember me on this computer. I do wonder if I would get a better return with an accountant. It works though.

This was the first time to file our (my) taxes after my husband passed away. Others kept telling me to take my taxes to someone to do, but my husband always trusted Turbo Tax, and I did too. Thank you for taking me through this.
