Turbo Tax Cost

I do not have any problem paying for the software but it says Federal and 1 State return free. When you get ready to file you see the $40 and $25 processing fee makes the actual total $135. I may do myself in the future if the tax laws don't change drastically. Seems like it should be disclosed upfront. Beyond that it is a fantastic product!

TurboTax doesn't fix anything year after year.

Same questions I've asked since 2017. You haven't fixed a one. Then add to this list that it was impossible to reset my lost pwd so I ended using a guest account. The verification code would just bring me to the same screen, using the other method said there was no such account, entering phone # said no such phone #, Piece of garbage
1. Why can't you have help link to the question on every page? Similar to the IRS explaination help for each line on a form? For example: If I type your question into the Find box, "Did you put some of your HSA contributions into spouse's HSA?", it searches forever under Top Questions and comes up with nothing. Useless.
2. And I've complain about this topic every year, since you have little linked help, why can't you cut and paste out of your form these phrases you ask, so we can paste them into search boxes? No you make us type out the dumb questions that you have no linked help on.
3. Why once you answered certain questions, like, "Did you earn money in foreign country, or Does this uncommon situation apply to you?" etc.. and you want to go back and check all through your answers, why does it reset the answers?? It does this in a number of places whether you saved the file or not.
4. Turbotax is saying "We see [spouse] had a break in HDHP health plan coverage during 2017" which is not correct. Where can I correct this information? " This is so poorly explained in Turbotax...oh wait a minute it isn't explained at all.

5. Did you inherit this HSA? It's not common, but we have to check. If you inherited this HSA from a spouse, answer NO.
Clear as mud. So if you didn't inherit, you answer what, YES? This make no sense.

6. Why does Turbotax continue to install other state taxes that I once used many, many years ago??
7. Why do you have to re-enter the same 1099-HC information every year? Why can't turbotax automatically insert it? I retype the same exact info for multiple people every year??? This is ridulous.

Software Update Installer Error!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have always been pleased with the ease of use but this year i experienced software update issues that caused me to call for your help. The young lady helping me took good care of me issue and was very curteous.

I've been using TurboTax since the beginning. It's gotten easier to use every year. In the beginning, you filled out actual tax forms. Now, you simply answer questions and the forms are automatically populated. I had a difficult time with the support function. I couldn't find how I was to frame my questions nor where to look.
