TurboTax 2020 is pretty good

I have used TurboTax for many years and have been reasonably satisfied with it. I have no doubt about its accuracy, security and that I am getting the best return possible. What I would like to see is an easier way to determine where a number on a form came from. For example, right click on Schedule A, line 1 and click on source. It would explain: 'from Medical Expenses Worksheet, line 14'. It would speed up trying to find that info on my own. That happens more often than you might expect. I think it would be a fairly easy change to make. You already have the information when you copy 'Medical Expenses Worksheet, line 14' into 'Schedule A, line 1'. Thanks for asking.

Although entering all information was easy. Filing was not free.. I paid $25 to file my State taxes and was informed that one for the State would be free....none of it is free.

If you can read and type, you can use TurboTax. Excellent program. I have used it since the first release year. Very thorough, excellent directions.

This year seemed much more difficult and it was not easy to go back to make changes. Also, the walk through was confusing related to rental property taxes etc. The questions seemed to pop up at different times working through the taxes. It became confusing because it did not make any sense.

Still works, just not as well.

The walkthrough is still the reason to use TurboTax. But, it seems I am spending more time every year filling in the actual forms after a mistake is found during the review process. It is still only a few times, (four or five this year,) but it is often something that seems like it could have easily been filled in during the walkthrough. Instead, I need to spend time trying to figure out from the form alone what is wrong and why.

TurboTax has been error-free since 1995

I've been disabled since 2007. This year I shouldn't have been able to file my own return. I just prepared and filed in two days! TurboTax transferred everything from last year's federal and state returns.
