Very good, but a few operational glitches

I've used various versions of TurboTax for many years. This one seems a bit hastily put together, not quite as easy to maneuver as previous versions, with a few glitches. Our tax situation is not complex, so I'm quite confident the program calculated our taxes properly and all looks good. But a bit more beta testing would have improved this version.

Terrible Experience For 2020 Program!!!

Turbo Tax has always been a decent experience for over ten years of my using it. My only complaint has been extremely slow installation and updates. No program should install from a disc as slow as this program does.
But this year was the worst experience I have ever had with any program that I have installed in over thirty years of computer usage. This year the program would not update nor download my state form. A short form for both federal and state took me over 6 hours to complete.
I even made sure all other programs were shut down including my antivirus program. I tried installing the manual update three times and it still failed to update. Updates directly online would attempt to connect and then time out and shut down. When I got to the end of the federal form I could not download the updates to check the form for accuracy nor proceed further. There was no way to bypass the update. After OVER 4 hours of aggravation the download for some reason installed after the fourth manual update attempt. Online help was useless.
If it wasn't for the efficiency of the actual tax prep I would have given this the lowest rating possible.
Maybe it is time to make a change in programs next year..

One Flaw

I completed my taxes and my daughters this year. I read that Turbotax deluxe included a "free " State return. I didn't get one as I paid $27 for each of my two returns.

I use this every year and every year I get so frustrated that they charge 25$ to file state tax .. i just do not get it ... I hate being nicked and dimed.
