Download and MANY update attempts were awful

I'e been using Ttax for 33 years. This was the worst experience ever. It took 6 or 8 tries for the initial download after purchasing. I went round and round and round trying to update everything so that I could even ENTER all of my pertinent information. As a long-time user, I'm disappointed with this year's release, though, I suppose that all of the crazy back and forth tax changes haven't helped the situation. Hoping for better luck next year.

I knew they would charge for e-filing a state return, but $45 dollars to debit my account to pay my federal amount due, upgrade buttons for features I do not need. I think it will be my last year with turbotax

Great until the end

I'm a longtime user of TurboTax and have always been very happy with it. This year wasn't an exception until I tried to transmit my Federal and State returns and they wouldn't go. The program kept telling me I needed to update the program. The program kept telling me no updating was required. I tried restarting the TurboTax program, restarted the computer, and everything else I could think of. Finally after a couple hours of messing around, the program updated and then I could send the returns.
Throughout the ordeal, I tried to find contact info for Intuit Turbotax support and couldn't find any. I did review old messages on a TurboTax forum but didn't find any current ones with my problem. They were all a year old and their suggestions didn't work!

A valuable tool but it seemed "Buggy" this year

I use Turbo Tax every year. It is a great application and easy to use. The last two years it seems to be more "buggy" than usual. Several times it left me hanging with a blank page. Luckily, I found a user quorum for a workaround. I had to go back into the program as an administrator. One shouldn't have to do that.
