Same problem every year

I receive a form 1099-MISC every year that I have to report. It is from a legal services negotiated benefit that I receive from my employer. I always get errors on my return because TurboTax thinks this is from self employment. I wish there was something in the program to recognize this as just a benefit from my employer and not income earned through self employment.

I like your software but it takes too, too long to load with checking for updates everytime. 20 minutes to get into the application is silly.

TurboTax is good -- but very expensive

I appreciate TurboTax for its efficiency and attention to detail. There are free options out there, but they are not as convenient and they do not cover many tax situations, such as income from several states.
TurboTax makes figuring out what is owed to who easier. And there is a charge for it, both in purchasing the programs AND in filing each state.
I could suggest that TurboTax roll its filing fee into the price of the state tax purchase at the start instead of having multiple purchase points. And a price break would be a good idea for those of us with limited budgets.
