Turbo Tax is OK, but not Cheap

I like Turbo Tax, but why do we need to pay $25 to eFile for State and Federal has No fee? Turbo Tax itself is +/- $50, which is fine as they put a good software together for users to file. It was a little confusing at the very end asking for additional information about Stimulus info on certain lines. This was not explained very well.

Comprehensive, straight forward and efficient

Used EasyStep and filling out the forms was a breeze. The electronic connection to my brokerage accounts saved me both time and energy. Great feature.

Had to update to Win 10 ONLY due to TT

I had to purchase a new computer ONLY to do TT - very annoying. Lucky for me I could easily afford to do so but I was not thrilled with this forced purchase and I am really annoyed with TT. Pretty inexcusable.

Turbo Tax Review

I have been with Turbo Tax for more than 25 years. This year I was frustrated. I had to file my daughter's South Carolina and North Carolina individual returns. This was the first time I deal with State tax returns. I cannot believe that I had to pay 45 dollars for each state. I only paid 30 dollars for the federal software. Then other hidden charges. I had to pay $90 for processing the electronic returns. Overall 180 dollars more than expected. I will look at other options for next year
