I have used Turbotax (and a Mac) for many years. This is the first time I am writing a review. I see an evolution has been occurring. As I recall, Turbotax was less certain of what a user desired and so the steps were more dogmatic. I found it easier to jump into and out of EasySteps.
It is here that I found Turbotax less than intuitive. Now that I have finished calculating my taxes, filing and printing my state return was less than obvious. After filing my federal taxes, all that I needed to do was to print the state forms to mail in. I've already done them, but I had to stop and resume at a later time. Where is the print state forms? I do not wish to reenter them nor review them. I just want print them.
Okay, I can and do succeed. Then I am reviewing the paper copy. On the bottom of some pages it says, "Keep a copy of this schedule for your records". Since I am presuming I am keeping a copy of my return anyway, what does this mean? Does it mean, "Do not return with my printed forms?"

There has to be something better. If you don't want to e file it has a fit. I am happy to e-file FED, but i am not paying Utah to make their job easer. Especially since I have to mail them a check anyway. Also it prints empty forms to keep for your records.

I've been using Turbo Tax for years to process income tax for myself and for my mother. It's easy to use, and allows you to transfer basic information from last year's taxes into the current one.
