Good until its time to file

Good product until the final step. It wouldn't let me file because of some arcane statement about 1099NEC and 1099 C or something like that and I'm stuck trying to figure it out for myself.

Easy to use and accurate

I have somewhat complicated investments; Turbotax totally simplifies extracting all of the related data, competing my taxes. This is about my 8th year using the software without issues.

I use TurboTax each year for the last 20 years. Each year it get easier and easier to use. It caught legitimate missing info mistakes that could delay in my getting my refunds.

Deluxe didn't handle "Second Home Sale"

Turbo Tax Deluxe was fine until it came for accounting for the sale of out second home. Then it turned into a shill for me to spend more money to buy Premier for this single item only. Since it was not an investment and was never rented out or used for anything other that our summer stays (we live in Florida) in New York to see out Grandkids, and since the pandemic market caused the sales price to be less that our Cost plus Improvements, the net result was we sold at a loss, which is not deductible. So it should have been easy!!! But it was anything but easy. Nevertheless, it is required that we report it on both our Federal and New York
State returns and Turbo Tax wanted more money to do so, even though it ultimately needed to be handled as a simple investment! New York and the Federal Government are unforgiving for not reporting a sale reported on a Form 1099, and Turbo Tax did not help at all. They failed, and I saw numerous complaints about this on the message boards, yet Turbo Tax totally choose not to fix the issue. A stupid decision to make a couple of extra bucks will result in the loss of users for many years to come.
