I have used and trusted TurboTax to do my Federal and States taxes for years now and I am extremely happy, Paying taxes is less painful and ensures that the government get their fair share of revenue for public good.

Turbo Tax was difficult to use this year very slow

I had a lost of l when I was entering my data in turbo tax, I had to wait at least 5 to 6 seconds between areas on W2G, which was very frustrating as I had many to enter which caused me to enter the payer EIN incorrectly on one form which turbo tax did not pick up on review and it caused my return to be rejected. Now I have been using Turbotax for over 25 years and have never experienced this problem at all.

12 years great, 13th year not so much

In fact, Turbo Tax did OK until I was saving as a PDF file and this review page froze and PDF save went on and on forever. I had to restart the computer and hope everything was saved. This review page is also in a very inappropriate spot for program flow and forces your customers to fill out this review before filing. This was my daughter's "easy and straight forward" return so let's hope I don't have the same type of problem on my return or it's adios Turbo Tax after 13 years.

Helpful but with bugs

I've used TurboTax for years. Most of the time, its use is helpful, straight forward and easy. At others, not so. This year as I add income, if a section indicates it needs to be reviewed but I do not, instead I select 'Proceed to next Income' a pop up window asks if I want to upgrade. When I select, "Continue with Deluxe", the spinning beach ball appears on my screen and the only alternative is to force quit TurboTax. It took me an hour to figure out i needed to address those sections needed to be reviewed and ONLY then the program wouldn't freeze.

Had a problem for first time since 1988

I have been a Turbo Tax user since it first came out in 1988 or so.. I have been very pleased with it's easy of use and accuracy in preparation of my taxes.. Though I don't have a business now, it made easy work of schedule C and the other forms for those with businesses..
This year however the product had a crippling problem with its update feature.. The update would fail and then no allow you to proceed further, aborting the program.. The suggested fixes were ridiculous and naturally placed most of the blame on Windows.. Fortunately I have a huge background in computers and was able to resolve the problem myself.. Hope I don't run into this problem next year.. flk k

Very nice program but updates are cumbersome

Generally TurboTax works well, however the updates upon each use are very frustrating and time consuming. Wish you would find a way to make these faster and less frequent.
