Turbo tax is easy to use.

Turbo tax is easy to use. I like that it walks you through everything if you want or you can choose if you want. I like that you can go back and fill in things if you don't have the paperwork ready. It's an easy way to file the federal and also state returns.

Easily walks user through all possible deductions. Online, on screen help! Makes doing your taxes at home and on your schedule easy without having to go to the tax guy and have to return because you forgot something.

Leaves a lot to be Desired

Turbotax says my federal and state returns are correct and recommends e-filing; yet both returns are rejected and Turbotax has no fixes except to file by mail, all 77 pages! Also filing out the questionnaire is not user friendly to my touch screen scrolling.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Problems installing from the CD, Updater fails

I purchased TurboTax Deluxe which came with an enclosed CD. When I installed from the CD, the process got an error. After that I kept having problems restarting TurboTax - the Updater, which applies the latest updates, kept failing when it tried to execute TurboTax after applying updates, because of the installation error..
Then I called TurboTax support and the rep helped me repair the copy on my laptop from an online build. But the fix did not last, Updater again started failing and I couldn't run TurboTax.
So I called again, and rather than repair again, I decided to replace the product on my laptop. This finally resolved the issue.
This is the first time I've had a problem with TurboTax in the many, many years I've been using it.
