Needs improvement

When you use the Desk top version it does not offer to save online. When you go online it looks for a .tax file which you need to save online for future use. the other issue was at the end it tried to charge me again? The reason when you go to e-file it looks at the online payment which was applied to desk top download? Hardest part is explaining what happened. you can not really see a difference between online and desktop? would be helpful to make it clear. Lastly if your filing for a prior year you can NOT e-file this should be made clear up front. just my opinion. Great product have been using Turbo Tax since the 80's

Good product but have privacy concerns

I like the product but I don't like the fact that Intuit has my personal tax information stored in some database in the cloud and the fact that Intuit does not give me the option to keep my information out of the database.

Very Good But Some Annoying Bugs

Overall the software is very good and works pretty well. However, I encountered repeated problems with e-filing the returns, and it appears that several others have had the same experience. I prepared 4 separate returns for adult members of my extended family. In all but one of the returns, the state and federal electronic filings were rejected because of an alleged mismatch between 2019 AGI and the IRS records. In each instance, I had a copy of the 2019 return and the information that I entered was correct (and for one of them, I even obtained an IRS transcript to verify the accuracy). I had to call customer support to get a work-around (ultimately entering $0 for AGI) to get them accepted. Clearly, there is a problem between the software and IRS records that prevented the e-filing, and this problem needs to be resolved so that others don't incur the same filing impediments.
