Turbo tax does well

First time ever it let me down . I put in my earnings and I put in my fed taxes for the same amount and it took it. Made me getting back a horrendous amount of taxes. I made the gross error and would have thought Turbo Tax would have flagged that issue.

Issue with Military State Filing - PY Louisiana

There is an issue with the turbotax program for that small group of people (me included) who are active duty, serving away from home, but have state residency in Louisiana. If you change your residency during the year to another state, then try to file a partial-year LA state return, turbotax will not accept this and won't e-file. It forces you to accept the "whole year" state return, which then automatically calculates LA state income tax for your whole W-2 income, instead of the fraction that should apply based on how long you lived in LA. This would be fixed by adding a "Louisiana residency for partial year" option during the step-by-step page that gets your criteria for qualification for LA's $30k deduction for LA residents who serve out of state for >120 days of the year, then adjusting the hardwired locks on the LA state tax worksheet. Aside from this issue, which is going to force me to paper-file my PY LA state tax return, I'd have given 5 stars for this year's edition.

Some kinks in your viewing abilities and forms

Everything worked well until I tried to view some screens - could not see the entire screen or get to the "Next" button at the bottom. Let people know that minimizing the screens on the desktop doesn't work. You have to go into the computer settings and reduce the display to 70% or less. Get your system people to fix this!!

i bought this program and thought i was getting federal without a fee and one state without a fee. but ended up doing two returns and paying $65 more for each return i wont be back

Glitches for the first timeever

I have used TurboTax since it first came out ... wow, 10 years ago or more. I've had nothing but trouble with updates this year. Frustration before finally getting a real phone person to tell me to uninstall and reinstall.
