I have used it for years. I like the ease, reliability and affordability. My only complaint would be that is could do a better job explaining situations. Example--more specifics when deciding if it's worth listing the itemized items or taking the standard deduction. Since the government has raised the standard so much in the past few years, it appears it isn't even worth being charitable.

ROTH IRA info could be better

In 2020, I made too much to be eligible for a ROTH contribution. TT recommended that I recharacterize the contribution into a regular IRA contribution, which I did, Then, continuing on with TT, The program said that I was not eligible to recharacterize that money into a regular IRA. TT was a bit weak on all of this. I had to consult with my brokerage company to get the clarification needed to resolve this properly. Otherwise, TT is relatively straightforward to use.

E-FILE

I have used turbo tax for over 25 years. This is the lowest rating I have given on this program.This was the first time I e-filed. I will never do it again, until I have no options. I can't believe it cost me $25 to efile the state return.In the time it took me to get through just the efile section, I could have printed, signed and put it in the mail...for about $1.50 in postage.

Nothing about filing your taxes is fun ~ but Turbo tax takes out much (not all) of the drudgery.
