I enjoy using Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is easy yo use and covers most situations. It asks questions to direct you to get the most deductions. And gives you a summary at the end. It gives you the last years figures so you can tell if you have all the papers you need.

State filings should be included

State tax return eFilings should be included in the Turbo tax w/ State versions.
Asking for another $25 to file state returns and a whopping $65 if deducted from the return is rediculous.

How dare they not explain form 8949!

I've used TurboTax for years but am highly bothered they didn't warn me to enter Capital Gains line by line or I would need a separate mailing (that turbo tax doesn't support well at all). Why not just tell me to enter them line by line? TERRIBLE. You are supposed to save me time

Everyone wants to save money on tax preparation; no one wants to go to jail for making a simple mistake. Even if I spend the entire year studying the tax law, I couldn't even read (or understand) the ever-changing tax laws, so the cost of TurboTax is very reasonable -- to get professional advice. I'm a big fan. And I get audit defense. (I sleep well at night.) A big thank you.

Turbo tax is so user friendly. I have filed my taxes for years with Turbo Tax. I always feel confident that I am getting the best refund and that my tax return is accurate.

QCD Problems

I was born on 10/49. TurboTax did not do anything to handle my QCD. This is the first year I am eligible. I almost filed my taxes without getting this credit. I had to do a bunch of research for how to handle it. I spent time on the phone with my investment broker, ETC. I finally found a bug listing for the issue and how to get around it. How many other people just blindly trusted TurboTax to handle everything and missed this important deduction.

Not as good as before

The Federal Return was fine, but the State (which I paid for) would not work. I didn't have time to mess around so I used the State of California online system instead. I was much easier and so I will no longer be using TurboTax.
