Allow me to change to standard deduction early on. It told me that I had used standard last year but I couldn't get out of the long form. Just ask, do you want to proceed with short form?

Convenient and accurate

We especially love the feature that links bank and brokerage accounts. I can't imagine having to enter everything by hand. We checked all the numbers and they match up, and account for items we wouldn't have thought of if we'd had to fill the forms manually.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

E-Filing problems

After Turbo Tax e-filing last year, this year's e-file was rejected. Even though AGI matched, it was rejected. So filed by mail.
Last year my mother's return was accepted successful and bank account payment cleared, but later received IRA notice of non payment. Still unresolved.

Convenient, accurate and easy to use

I have been using TT for about 30 years. It was a fairly simple tax return. TT guided me right through it and start to finish 3 hours and it was filed. Takes the pain and worry out of it. Will always use it.
