TurboTax is good for the Federal Short Form

TurboTax seems to have a great deal of difficulty understanding State returns. One year when I worked in multiple states and and two states have a reciprocal agreement TurboTax totally failed at comprehending this. This year I am retired and have only one state to deal with and TurboTax gives conflicting instructions:
1) Go to your state website and pay
2) You must mail in a form and your check.
Other general issue is TurboTax doesn't help with planning the next years taxes or on calculating or importing estimated tax payments.

All the math is guaranteed and they guide you through kind of intuitively, but they have just a few too many "Purchase Opportunities" included. By the pricing, it would seem that those with larger AGIs and/or more complex situations are paying through the nose for TurboTax to offer free versions.

Turbotax is expensive & fights free e-filing

This program works great. It is more expensive than competitors and they fight against free filing in CA.

The app was very helpful. i DIDNT HAVE ANY TROUBLE AT ALL IN COMPLETING MY TAXES FOR IT TO BE THE FIRST TIME ME FILIING THEM TURBOTAX MADE IT VERY SIMPLE
