Fonts and text are way too small.
An option to use larger fonts or zoom in/out of windows should have been included decades ago.

Misleading Advertising

I was disappointed with the misleading advertising from TurboTax. The CD I purchased made it seem like the entire Federal and State etaxes were free. They want your money so they charge you for the state efile even though they prepare the state taxes with the package purchased. Once they try charging $25 for the efile it is difficult to back out of the payment option to switch to the free 'mail in' option for state.

TurboTax is Great

Filing with TurboTax was quite intuitive and the software guides the user through all the steps, if they opt for it. You can even get support should you need it.
I was able to get my taxes done using the guide they provided and feel confident I got it done right.

try to e-file but payment step has issue on my old laptop with window 8.1. I had issue on the payment screen, part of screen
display was missing, unable to fill in all informations, tried reduce
size, not working. I had to mail in this year.

Lagged and froze

Normally the experience is smooth. This year it kept freezing and lagging. Took much longer than it should have.

We were reluctant at first, but we have been using Turbo Tax for 3 years now. It has saved us a lot of money paying an accountant. Our returns have been very nice and they are low risk and or audit free (with free online assistant if needed). We strongly recommend Turbo Tax to everyone we talk to about taxes.
Pros: My employment status changed this year
