The instructions and questions were not as clear as prior years. We had to keep referring to the help files and IRS instructions. Questions were sometimes confusing.

TurboTax Can be excellent

TurboTax is really great if you have a very simple return. Even some complex parts can be pretty straightforward with this product. Couple of tips - EVERY SINGLE TIME you work in TurboTax, go to the menu button and select UPDATE. Otherwise you'll be stuck at the end, even after you have gone through the checks and they say you are ready. You won't be. ALSO, the state portion can be problematic. The federal portion is usually pretty accurate. But if you pay to file electronically and then there's a problem, you don't get your money back. Just print your state taxes.
