Turbo Tax is too complicated and non-precise

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have noticed it getting more complicated and less precise each year. This year has been the worst as far as glitches in the programming and questions. I plan to use another self-preparing tax software next year. I am not saying Turbo Tax is horrible, it's just not what it used to be.

TurboTax made easy

Turbotax did make it easy.
the only issue I had is that it kept asking me to file a State tax return even after confirming I lived in Florida. It should know that Florida has no state income tax and should not have even asked.

Hard to get help; gaps in what they provide

I find working with Intuit frustrating. They don't provide a decent search experience which is pretty fundamental. For example; you want to work on next year estimated taxes using this year's data. Its not listed in the topics menu. If you search through help all you get is an explanation of what estimated taxes are. No place can you find where in the program you can find this functionality. Or, when doing a final check I get told I need to add an explanation for a particular line on a worksheet. However that line was filled out by the program. Drill down does not provide an explanation either.

I don't think Turbo Tax is the best anymore

I have used turbo Tax for more than 10 years. You would think that I wouldn't have to type any letter, just numbers since everything has stayed the same. I should only have to enter dollar amounts. The only reason I haven't switched programs is because I thought it would be a lot easier using the program that I have used in the past. This year I needed to type to much. I will switch programs next year.
