A scam I'm forced to use.

Paying for a service so that I don't have to go talk to people, only to then have to pay even more money to be able to file my taxes in the first place. It doesn't take any effort to e-file, seems unfair to have a $25 service charge on e-filing when it automatically does it with little to no effort in the first place.

Turbo Tax is Great, but...

I have used it for many years and it is in general great, but I think it needs to disclose and share the information regarding IRS and State restriction on only 5 e-File is allowed per computer/household/program. I allowed my family members to use my copy of TurboTax Deluxe to file their taxes (I am NOT a tax professional nor did I do it for fee). They just used my computer to eFile their taxes. When it came time for me to file my tax, the program now indicates that I CANNOT eFile anymore because I had reached the maximum. This is extremely annoying, since the others have very simple tax returns while my was 90 pages to send. I wish I knew this before hand and now I have to send a ton of paper.

Allows one to double check all areas quickly and feel that nothing has been forgotten. Also permits one to not enter their SSN, so that it may be printed out and written manually, for those that might be extra concerned about internet safety. Having a techy daughter helps a lot too.

Poor product which makes taxes harder to do than paper and pencil. Fees for state filing make it not economical.

Quick and Easy

TurboTax was very easy to use. This product walked me through each section using language that was easy to understand and easy to follow. Consequently, my tax preparation was completed in a very short period of time. I'll be using Turbo Tax in the future for all of my tax preparations.
