Turbo Tax is the program to use.

I started using Turbo Tax back in 2009 and have not charge from it. It is one of the best program on the market for home use.

Federal Easy - Montana Not

Federal taxes were easy with this product as usual. The Montana taxes were not so much. There were many questions referring to 2019 federal taxes and distributions between my wife and me. Those were not easy to find or calculate. It would be much easier if you just provided a tax form and line to look for. I also kept getting a message about an deduction that was too large on the Montana tax, but it was the same as on the federal return and I couldn't figure out what it should be (there was not a specific note). I finally just filed my Montana return with the error and hope they will tell me what's wrong with it.

It asked me to activate a second time, probably after a Windows Update. It used two activations on one computer.

Easy to Use Year Over Year

I've been using Turbo Tax for 13 years, and I've always thought it was a simple product to use. If you're willing to understand your tax documents, and read/respond to plainly stated questions, then Turbo Tax is a good fit. Even if it's your first time, there are plenty of explanations throughout the application if needed. I have used their phone help once due to system compatibility issues I had to work through. Still don't have any complaints about the product. I'll continue to use it, because it's simple for me, I have faith in its accuracy, I can be done in a matter of hours, and there is optional audit protection (about $45) that covers your return in case the IRS or other tax body reaches out to you.
