Very Disappointed in 2020 TurboTax Deluxe

This is the second time I've had to type up this review, adding to my disappointment. This year TurboTax didn't properly read an imprted 1099-R, and asked me to manually type in missing info such as recipients name and address, payers name, address, and Fed I.D., missing purchase and sale dates, tec. This info was not missing, solved the problem by deleting then re-importing. The software almost caused a major problem by duplicating a 1099-R, also notifiying me of missing info, which I manually entered. Fortunately, I caught the duplication and deleted it before filing.
The are also annoying mechanical bugs, such as needing to hit continue or back several times, screens jumping all over the place for no reason, defauting from my chosen print "tax return only" to "tax return and worksheets" if I left the screen to review the print. Finally, as I wrote in my opening sentence, this is the second time I typed this review, as the first time I asked to review terms and conditions, and the program brought me back to a blank screen review screen not my original review.
I have been using TurboTax for more than a dozen years, and will use it again next year. But if these or new problems occur, it will be my last.

Missing questions

I've used Turbo Tax for years and always loved it. However, this year it seemed that it didn't ask questions that I thought it should. For example, no questions about my HSA account. I had to go into forms and select form 8889. Also, when I printed my state forms for mail filing, Turbo Tax did not print the Federal forms that Wisconsin requires. I printed them on my own.

Still Some Quirks

After about 10 years of using Turbo Tax, I have almost learned to anticipate its quirks and take appropriate action. The most annoying problem occurs when entering information from the 1099 DIV and INT forms. There is no instruction during the interview that tax exempt interest/dividends must be separated from the other interest/dividends and entered by source. This is not necessary for federal taxes but must be done for state taxes if they exempt certain interest/dividend income.

Turbo Tax is the BEST!

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. I have compared my final outcome with other tax soft wares and Turbo Tax gave me a much better outcome every time. Turbo Tax is my chosen software package to utilize because it is the Best!

problem with CSRS 1099 input

The questions related to income reported from 1099-R from OMB do not make sense. It treats it like an RMD when it is simply a monthly pension.
