Bad at comparing MFS vs. MFJ

For a two-person working household where MFS and MFJ are close for both state and federal, this software is incredibly cumbersome. There is no good way to compare other than do your taxes completely out for both scenarios for both federal and state. This includes re-typing in your W2's both times! I have tried several different things for the last 5 years to make it easier (including doing my own back-hand calcs with the help of on-line calculators), but this is likely my last year. I will be looking for a tax consultant next year.

I used TurboTax last year and have been very happy with the product. This year, the instructions seem noticeably more clear. Still, there are difficult situations, but I eventually got through them with a little added research on the Web.

The tool is fine. Its a bit overkill to enter the bank data twice and have to do it again for state and federal for a total of 4 time. Dont force me to do a review of the software.

Worth the investment

Had a problem this year with clarity on entering the amount of the stimulus checks since I received 1 in 2020 and the other in 2021. I see they changed the forms already to ask if you received instead of enter the value you received for 2020.
