Disappointed

I've been using Turbo Tax for many, many years. I have noticed that in recent years it has become less and less user friendly. It seems somewhat buggy. This year it even crashed and I lost the entire completed return and had to start over. Probably will not be using it again next year.

Every tax filer is unique, but turbotax meets every need that comes up! Items that I don't think about, they do. i have used them now for several years and they have never let me down.

Great, but stumbled at the last second

All the usual (and, not so usual) situations were handled in a systematic was including supporting info and articles for unusual cases. However, one, very insignificant error, caused a lot of heartburn as I tried to submit my returns. The system kept saying there was one tiny detail to check and the blinking cursor kept point to my middle initial on a State worksheet while it was saying that the State job description was too long. I finally e-filed my Federal return and printed my State return to mail in (even though I had paid to e-file). When I got ready to print my State return Turbo Tax said "your return has errors" so I reviewed the return and, sure enough, I had misspelled Part time as Part Timw plus the number of characters ran over the line length. So changing Part Timw to PT.. allowed me to e-file the State return. So this powerful, well thought out system was telling me the mistake I made, but misleading by pointing to my middle initial(which I don't use). My name has the form: A. Bob Change so writing this for all of those with First Initial- middle name struggles of the sort I have. So, Turbo Tax , Take care of us. Thanks

Easy to use with guidance throughout! Love the ease of Its Deductible for donations. We refinanced our home this year and the process was clear on the Turbo Tax forms how to record it.
