Turbo Tax Deluxe 2020 Review

Had to move to Windows version since you no longer support the Mac OS version I have. Functionally everything worked okay. I've noticed there is less and less information in the Turbo Tax Deluxe interface. I think it's to try to get more people to pay for the advisor option. Also, since I had to enter input data from last year (because I had to switch OS) it was somewhat unclear on what it was asking for. One was for "worksheet 2", which didn't exist.

Never imports from Ally Financial

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years. I can't imagine filing my taxes without this great product!

Turbotax use to be outstanding.

I found at least two unexplained events that causes me to have doubt:
* There was a loss amount that shows up on the Income summary page that I could not find the source of the number, niether could the Turbotax Support Rep. The number appears to be informational, since it does not appear to affect the tax outcome. However, this was a simple single individual with no investment or business income. Furthermore no losses were entered.
* On another income tax, a filing for NJ was generated, even though the individual has not worked or lived in NJ for more than 6 years. I looked through all the data entered and imported and found no palce where NJ was entered.
* The application detected a question regarding 1099-HC that was not answered. I made the correction, ran the review a second time and all appears ok. I e-filed the Federal ruturn and chose to manually file the State return. However, when I went to print the state to file manually, a message was generated syaing that there was an error. When I checked, it shows that the 1099-HC question was not answered. Strange.
