I use the Turbo Tax program every year - I love the ease of use. Turbo Tax easily transfers your data from one yr to the next - can guide you step by step or you can just go straight to what you want. Its an awesome program. In addition, the electronic filing of your Federal taxes is a breeze and you get a fast refund. The State costs you extra.

Turbotax is Great!

Turbotax has always been my "go to" for tax preparation. I have used it for over 10 years.
Until this year, I have always used the download deluxe version. When I was ready to purchase this year's addition, I not only discovered that I would not be able to use 2020 software unless I upgraded my Mac IOS but my computer was at it's limit. Purchasing a new computer was in my future but I hadn't planned to do it before tax season. Now, with the new computer there was no CD drive so I had to download. This is not something I have been comfortable with in the past. However, everything went smoothly until I started to do my taxes. I discovered that even with a 21" screen, I could not configure the pages in order to see the whole page. On the summary pages, all the sections were not visible so I had to go by the search for a section method and rely on the review at the end to make sure I hadn't left anything out. Needless to say, this was very frustrating. I would have given Turbotax 5 stars for excellence in the past. Not now, as I see these problems as very major and easily addressed by a programmer. I didn't have time to call customer support and remain on hold for hours, wait on another download and risk losing the work I had already done. I am not a novice to computers, so I relied on my memory and prior experience to get through. Turbotax, please address the configuration of your pages! I understand that Apple is responsible for the need to upgrade iOS but now I am not sure what I will do next year. Disappointed with my experience this year and facing another round as I starting to prepare my mother's taxes also.

Always hidden costs

First you buy, then as you go you find hidden additional costs. Never changes. Been using this product for over 5 years and the hidden costs keep going up.

I've had a tax CPA do my taxes since 1985 then she retired. I asked friends and family how they do their taxes. Most said Turbo Tax and said it's easy too. And they were correct...it was easy.
