Turbo Tax Short and Simple

TurboTax is Excellent except during a Pandemic

I have had my usual excellent help. Only problem this year has been because of the pandemic I suppose. My husband of 60 years passed away this year. So that is different. The only strange part (I suppose) was I (we) only received $600.00 with the second economic payment. Our tax return added the $600.00 for my husband on the return. That is the only different thing that happened. I, of course, appreciate it, cause I still have costs associated with his passing. All that to say, I was disappointed to be rejected twice for a reason that it was correct, that our AGI was incorrect. Even IRS said it was correct. So other than that situation, as always I've been well pleased. Been using the program for more years than I can remember.

Typical TurboTax efficiency, with a few glitches

Like the last 22 years. filing with TurboTax was easy and much less expensive than tax preparation services. The interface is better than ever, an the options for navigating the resources are plentiful.
There are some fields that do not save correctly. I enter information about transportation expenses, for example, and the in the Review, these same questions come up as unanswered.
My other suggestion is to make it simpler to search and immediately go to any page or worksheet that matches a keyword (search) entry.

Works well except for estimated taxes

Overall Turbo Tax works well and it is reasonably easy to navigate. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to apply some of my refund to next year's taxes using the step-by-step method -- I have to revert to Forms. And I don't see how to handle estimated taxes in the step-by-step method either. It's not even easy in the Forms method.

I have used Turbo Tax for my taxes for over a decade. Very easy to understand, transfers data from prior years and walks you through issues. Will continue to use this product!

Turbo Tax easy to use

It would be nice to be able to get program updates notifications, when the Government changes the tax laws after tax season has started. Waiting for known updates to happen is tiring, when you can't find out Turbo Tax software update status.

Easy to use logical - menu driven.

Easy to use logical menu driven program. Did not run into any problems. Was a simple return. Much easier than I had inticipated. Glad I bought it and plan to use it in the future.
