My first time. Very impressed

I was terrified to file my own taxes but my accountant passed away and last year I paid $600 for something I was told I could do with Turbo Tax. My friends were right. Turbo Tax was thorough and made it not only easy, but made me feel confident.

This years Turbo Tax was very buggy.

I had problems with Turbo Tax this year that I never encountered in the 15 plus years I have used it. Before this year, Turbo tax worked flawlessly for me. This year, I had issues from the beginning to the end. All the problems dealt with the screen. I would press a button and Turbo would not update the screen. I had to change the resolution or the font size to get it to the next field. This occurred at every screen , update, and payment screen. What would have taken 15 minutes to process took one hour and half.

Use Turbo Tax every year, have never had a problem with it. Turbo Tax even contacted us a few years ago when someone else tried to file out taxes when we hadn't even done our yet. Turbo Tax got ahold of us immediately to let us know and helped us correct the problem.

Oddball issues, unanswered questions

Been using Turbo Tax for 15+ years with varying degrees of success, but this year a couple of issues caused considerable anger and frustration. First, it reported an error on form 8919T, which we did not need and refused to go away until I went into the actual forms screen and deleted it. I have no idea where it came from. Second, when I started to do my taxes, Turbo Tax asked when I would file and I said 4/14/21, the federal filing date. Soon after that the filing date was moved back to 5/17/21, and I could not locate the screen on which I could change the date I wished to file. Very frustrating. We are considering a different means of doing taxes next year.
