I've been using Turbo Tax for many years. Over time, I've had business deductions, sales of homes and now retirement. Turbo walks me through all the possible things that I need to consider to capture all the situations and reminds me of things I might overlook. It's clear, comprehensive and lets me pause for awhile and come back when I'm ready. I've even had an accountant do my taxes (had what I thought was a complex situation) and Turbo did just as well doing my return.

the detailed step through for each section is helpful, and also being able to go back and pick a specific section to review is a good feature too. I like that the software lets you pick up where you left off, and the ability to do an old fashioned FILE, SAVE is a plus.

I select to have the most detailed Q and A method which takes more time, but increases my trust and confidence. I've used it for about 15 years and highly recommend it to others and have always used the CD version.

Got the Job Done.

Downloading my old forms from online so they would import to this year was a pain. The directions didn't help and it took 20 minutes for me to fall my way through it. It also didn't auto import my kids ages which had I not caught made it so I got no credit for them. Maybe it would have been caught when turbotax did a check through but still.

Too many clicks - after choosing $45 tax help - it was a million clicks to the end. That is you taking advantage of me for a long unnecessary ride. So many ways to upsell your product - just tell me all at once don'tb dribble it out. I'm a 15+ year TurboTax user.
Pros: My employment status changed this year
