Turbo Tax is OK but charging to file is not right

Quick & Easy

I got our taxes done and filed in about 3 hours. The feature I like the best is the import function of 1099's. The most difficult one I have has multiple iterations, DIV, MISC, etc. and is entered automatically. Federal was accepted almost immediately but the state was very slow! I had my Federal refund before the state was even accepted.

TurboTax needs to provide full fees disclosure

My major complaint is that the final step states a $40 refund processing fee without further explanation. When I first filed my own returns I opted to mail instead - the $40 was an incredible surprise. When I proceeded to file for my brother, I went to the next step and found that to pay the State filing TurboTax fee of $25, his use of a credit card removed the $40 fee. I could have avoided a tremendous rant, call in to your help line, etc. if that had been known to me in advance. Very dismayed.

Turbotax is OK

I have been using TurboTax for years always with great results. But this time I finished TurboTax, corrected all the errors it pointed out and the return was rejected by the IRS.
I was not able to correct it to what they wanted und finally sent in a paper return. I will still do returns for our children and hope that I can file them electronically.
