Getting very expensive

I have been using turbo tax for a long time now. I am not sure I can justify spending almost $100 where I could use another software package for what it does.
I notice that in some cases I need to enter information twice as when filing federal and Illinois taxes. I had to enter bank and license information twice. Why not just give the option to use the previous one already entered?

Everything worked fine, except product did not provide instructions for claiming the charitable contribution portion of a charitable gift annuity.

Turbo tax is easy to use with help available

Turbo tax leads you through the process with great information available for any questions. Don't normally need to use the tax advisor feature as it is very straight forward.

It was hard to get a verification code to work and had to pay for efile of state with representative. She was extremely polite and helpful. We had to wait for about 10-15 minutes, but she was able to resolve the issues quickly on the phone.

Problem e-filing New York State

I've purchased TurboTax cds yearly for more years than I can count. I purchased 2020TurboTax Deluxe with state CD version. When efiling, I rcvd error for NY state efile, so I ckd box to only efile fed now and will efile state later. When I attempted to efile NY state later, Turbotax doesn't allow it without also selecting federal efile. This makes no sense since earlier I was given the option of efiling NY state later and now I find out fed and state MUST be efiled at the same time. Please fix by this weekend or you'll lose a very loyal customer. I paid for a product that should work, not a broken one!
